How River City Heating & Air Conditioning Got Started
River City Heating & Air Conditioning started in 1987 when owner, Norm Allen, and his business partner—who were working as HVAC technicians—decided to branch out on their own. They knew they could raise the customer service bar in Winona, so they did exactly that. And because they were located right on the Mississippi River, they felt that River City Heating & A/C was the perfect name to represent their local business.
Norm bought out his business partner in 2005, and now owns and operates the company with his brother, Kevin, and a few of his employees. Customers know the service at River City is second-to-none, and our technicians are friendly and professional—that’s why they continue to count on us for all of their heating, cooling, and indoor air quality needs.

Our team has a number of certificates, including EPA Refrigeration, gas heating, heat pumps, and air conditioners. A few technicians have even gained the esteemed NATE-certified title for passing the vigorous industry exam—and we have an Indoor Air Quality Specialist on our team who ensures your home’s indoor air quality is safe and healthy.
